Proteins are necessary parts of diets. Being vegetarian I always try to include protein foods in my diet. I have started eating eggs for losing weight. But I don’t eat any meat. Soya is good source of proteins. I always keep soya nuggets in my kitchen and try to make different recipes using it. Chili soya is indo Chinese recipe made using capsicum and soya. This can be made as a starter, party snacks also. Chili soya is tasty and protein packed recipe.Now more interesting thing about this recipe is it’s totally guilt free as soya is rice source of proteins. Provided use very less oil for making chili soya and you can enjoy it without any guilt. Also add all choice of vegetables to make your own version of chili soya. I used capsicum, tomato and onions for making it but you can add any choice of vegetables like chopped carrots, cabbage in soya chili to make it nutrition packed. - Soya bean chunks 2 cup
- Onions chopped 1
- Capsicum (bell pepper) chopped 1
- Tomato chopped 1/2 cup
- Green chili chopped 2
- Black pepper powder 1/4 tea spoon
- Soya sauce 3 tb Spoon
- Garlic cloves 6
- Ginger 1 inch piece
- chili sauce 1 tb spoon
- Salt as per taste
- Oil 2 tb spoon
Soak soya bean nuggets in enough water for 20 minutes.Drain water and keep it aside.
Heat kadhai and add oil in it.
Once oil is hot add chopped onions in it and saute for a minute.
Add ginger garlic paste ,chopped chilies in it and saute.
Add chopped tomatoes,capsicum in it and mix well.cook for 5-6 minutes.
Add soya sauce ,chili sauce in vegetables and saute for 2 minutes.
Add soaked soya chunks , salt and pepper powder in it and mix well.
Cook it for 7-8 minutes and switch off the gas.
Soya chili nuggets are ready ,garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
