Dry fruit ladoo

Dry fruit Ladoo are made specially in winter as a warm food . All Ingredients used in this ladoo have many health benefits like almonds are good for brain ,Edible gum is good for bones, Dried dates have calcium and iron ,ghee is rich in fats.Fenugreek seeds and fennel seeds have health benefits  like aid in digestion ,helps treating heartburn and boosts milk supply for lactating mothers.So this dry fruit ladoo is given to pregnent and lactating mother as nutritious food in confinement diet. 
Nutritious dry fruits help to boost immunity and very healthy snacks option for growing kids. Its hard to include all variety of dry fruits daily in diet so this ladoo is great way to have all dry fruits . Additionally these ladoos are rich in fats and fiber and very high calories food.
Preparation of ladoos take lots of time . Every ingredient used in this ladoo has to be cleaned first using dry cotton cloth and then powdered using grinder or special grinding machines used for making powder are also available in many places.
Mortar pastel is used for making pieces of dry fruits like dink(edible gum), dried dates, godambi,
coconut  as these ingredients are very hard to be grinded in grinder directly.
Quantity /proportion of dry fruits used in these ladoos can be varied as per requirement.Also sugar is optional or use it in required quantity. Instead of using sugar use more dried dates as a sweetener. Using home made ghee gives it aroma and unique taste of ghee.   • Almonds 1 cup
  • Cashews 1 cup
  • Dry coconut 1
  • Dry dates 2 cup
  • Marking nut/godambi 1 cup
  • Sugar 2 cup
  • Fennel seeds 2 tb spoon
  • Fenugreek seeds 1 tb spoon
  • Dink (Edible gum) 1/2 cup
  • Ghee 2 cups
  • Cardamom powder 1 cup
  • Nutmeg powder 1 cup


  1. Clean all dry fruits using cotton clean cloth.
  2. Deseed dry dates and break them in small pieces using mortar pastel.
  3. Cut dry coconut into small pieces.
  4. Bread dink/edible gum using mortar pastel into small pieces .
  5. Grind almonds ,cashews,fennel seeds,fenugreek seeds ,godambi separately in grinder to get coarse powders.
  6. Grind broken pieces of dry dates ,coconut,dink separately in grinder to get powders.
  7. Grind sugar to get fine powder.
  8. Heat pan and pour ghee in it.
  9. Mix all dry fruits powder in big bowl and sprinkle cardamom powder and nutmeg powder in it.
  10. Pour hot melted ghee on dry fruits powder and mix all ingredients well.
  11. Form ladoos by pressing mixture on hands.
  12. Store dry fruits ladoo in air tight container.
