Dal paratha recipe

Dal parathas is flat bread made using lentils and wheat flour. It’s very healthy option for breakfast or meal. Any lentils from toor / Chana / moong dal can be used for making these parathas/ flat breads.Add grated vegetables like carrots, cabbage in paratha  dough for more nutrition. If you have dal as leftover then dal paratha is good option to use your dal in tasty and healthy way.

Providing complete nutrition to kids is every parent’s goal. My elder daughter eats slowly and thus couldn’t finish her lunch box in school recess. So I prefer packing variety of parathas in her lunch box. It’s easy for kids to eat this paratha at school recess, as lentils are mixed in paratha itself. No need to pack exclusive curry with this paratha. Apply sweet lime pickle / ketchup on paratha and make a roll of it. Pack these rolls for lunch box as a handy food. If your child eats food slowly then dal paratha is perfect lunch box option.
