After long gap from blogging, today I could find time to write recipe post. It was exam time at my daughter’s school. And thus exam and study time for mommy as well. More than kid’s mommies have tension about the exams. So let’s go to out today’s post and it’s about green gram fritters .(or mugore as it’s made from moong dal it’s called as mugore in Marathi). Fritters are heavenly combination with tea and if it’s raining then it’s must have.It rains here most of the time in year and I enjoy making variety of fritters.

I always pick healthy, nutrition packed recipes which kids would eat happily for Hellomomy .This is tasty snacks which can be made as a quick starter for parties as well. Main ingredient is green gram lentil which makes it protein packed snacks. Green chili is optional and you can avoid it. Add coriander leaves / methi leaves/ spinach leaves for making vegetable green gram fritters. Try this green gram fritters recipe at home and let us know your feed backs in comment section.

Green gram fritters
Instructions
  1. Wash and soak moong dal / green gram in water for 5-6 hours.
  2. Drain water from soaked dal and grind it in grinder with green chilies ,garlic cloves ,coriander leaves and some water.
  3. Heat 2 tea spoon oil in pan and pour it in above green gram mixture.
  4. Add chopped onions , salt , cumin powder , carom powder , turmeric in mixture and mix well.
  5. Heat oil in pan for deep frying fritters.
  6. Take spoon full of mixture and deep fry it in oil on low flame.
  7. Turn and fry from other side as well , drain oil and transfer fritters to dry container.
  8. Serve hot green gram fritters with ketchup or any choice of chutney.
