I have sweet tooth and I like to eat sweets everyday after meals. (I agree, That’s  absolutely bad habit of mine :- ). I always stock up my pantry with some or other kind of sweet balls , bars , desserts.As ladoo have good shelf life I make variety of ladoos . Please find similar ladoo  recipes here .Today’s post is about delicious and nutritious Dates ladoo / energy balls which is made using dry fruits and raisins. This ladoo is sugar free as it has sweetness of dates , sugar is not added in it. Dates ladoo can be made in bulk as it has very good shelf life too. Dry fruits are high calories foods  and It can be used as a  perfect snacks for kids. Kids need more energy and high calories snacks will be good options.  Dates are rich source of iron ,vitamins and simple sugars. I have added walnuts as my kids don’t like walnuts. You can add other dry fruits like almonds, cashews  as per choice while making this ladoos.Try making instant dates ladoo by following simple recipe given below.

  1. Heat heavy bottom pan and add ¼ tea spoon of ghee in it.
  2. Add cashew nuts in pan and roast for 3 to 4 minutes . keep it aside.
  3. Roast Almonds for 4 to 5 minutes similar way with ghee and keep aside.
  4. Remove seeds from the dates and and cut it into small pieces .
  5. Roast dates with few drops of ghee for 5-6 minutes while stirring and switch off the gas.
  6. Run cashews ,almonds and walnuts in grinder to get coarse mixture.
  7. Similar ways grind dates in grinder.
  8. Take a bowl and mix all ground ingredients properly.
  9. Take some dry fruits mixture in hand and shape it in circular ladoo by pressing with hands. If needed grease hands with ghee and shape all ladoos .
  10. Dates ladoo are ready and store it in air tight container.
