Hi friends,

Today I am posting recipe after long time. Actually I was busy with children’s holiday and could hardly find time for blog.So this post is about the lovely, tasty and tiny khoya  pedhe.You can make this pedhe as a festival dessert or on any special occasion.Actually making this khoya  pedhe is really easy and quick.When I made khoya pedhe for the first time, I felt why I bought any pedhe from store up to now.I have tried making mango pedhe /kesar pedhe/plain pedhe at home.All these pedhe were delicious and liked by my guests. I used frozen khoya as I couldn’t get fresh khoya here. You can use fresh khoya or even make it at home by evaporating milk.Fresh khoya pedhe are more flavorful and soft in texture.

  1. Grate khoya to get fine granules.If you have home made fresh khoya then skip this step.
  2. Powder sugar to get fine powder.
  3. Heat non stick pan and add ghee in it.
  4. Add saffron strands in milk to get saffron infused milk.
  5. Once ghee gets hot add grated khoya in it and saute for 5 minutes.
  6. Add powdered sugar and saffron infused milk in khoya and mix well.
  7. Saute this mixture for another 10 minutes or till it starts separating sides of the pan.
  8. Sprinkle cardamom powder on khoya mixure.
  9. Switch off the gas and let khoya mixture cool down .
  10. Form small circular pedha by pressing little mixture on hands.
  11. Garnish khoya pedha with any choice of cut dry fruits and serve.
