Today’s post is about Nan khatai ( Butter cookie). It’s is famous type of cookie or biscuit generally used as tea time snacks in India. I am passionate lover of tea and this butter cookies is my favourite tea time snacks crisp outside and soft inside Nan khatai cookies are tasty and melt in mouth snacks.
Here in Singapore it rains most of the time and thus obviously tea and snacks are mandatory. I make nan khatai and use it for few days as it has good shelf life. It has different version recipes with cardamom ,dry fruits, chocolate, saffron. Interesting thing is that , this cookie doesn’t need egg for making it.As its shrawan month and many people don’t eat eggs, meat during complete month you can try baking this egg less cookies.
