Few dishes and its taste leave their mark on you. It’s about the chutney (side dish )served with idli , dosa at my college canteen. It’s almost 12 years back and I absolutely remember it’s taste now also. It was so tasty that people used to visit canteen only for this chutney. I tried to make same chutney at home many times but couldn’t match the taste with iconic recipe taste at canteen.After many trial and errors I could make nearly same peanut and coconut chutney.
Dry coconut and peanuts are mainly used for making it.Ghee tempering is optional in this recipe, if you are weight watcher skip it. Many south Indian food items are incomplete without chutney.This chutney tastes yummy and can be served with idli ,dosa, appe or uttapam.
