  1. Clean and drain water from basamati rice .
  2. Keep it aside for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Chop onions and wash peas.Keep it aside.
  4. Heat ghee in heavy bottom pan.
  5. Once ghee gets hot add cumin and mustard seeds.
  6. Add all dry spices, bay leaf, cloves, peppers, cinnamom in hot ghee.
  7. Add chopped onions and saute for 4-5 minutes.
  8. Add cashew nuts, peas and saute for 2 more minutes.
  9. Add soaked basamati rice in pan and mix well.
  10. Add water, salt and other spices in rice.
  11. Mix well and cook rice without covering for 15-16 minutes on low flame.
  12. Garnish with fried dry fruits and serve peas pulao.
