All you wanted to know about the Olympiad exam


For school going children, It’s competitive exams time of the year. Some of the competitive exams are already over in the month of October and few are scheduled in coming days. About the exams:

Students from class 1 to XII can participate in this exam it is organized by the SOF  foundation, Silverzone foundation.

Every class will have different exam paper and it will be based on the syllabus as per their level.

It is an objective type exam and lasts for 1 hour. For answering the OMR sheet is provided on which the answers should be marked.

Following are the  Olympiad exam available as per the subject. You can select the subject for which you want your child to appear for the exam. School avail the forms of all these exams at the starting of the academic year. You just have to fill the form and submit the fees for the exam. The dates of the respective exams are declared by the respective foundation and it’s displayed on their websites.

  1. National Cyber Olympiad (NCO)
  2. International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO)
  3. International English Olympiad (IEO)
  4. International General Knowledge Olympiad (IGKO)
  5. International Company Secretaries Olympiad (ICSO)
  6. National Science Olympiad (NSO)
  7. International Science Olympiad (ISO)

Each exam is conducted at two levels:  leve1 and level 2

Level 1 will have all the appearing students from all schools( around 200000). And for level 2 Top few students are shortlisted.

Top scorers from the level 2 exam will get medals as per their ranks and everyone will get the certificates. Top 1000 Olympiad rank holders of the 1st Level from each class will compete for top positions in a 2nd level examination. All Class 1st rank holders with minimum 60% of marks with minimum 100 students from a particular school are also eligible for Level 2.

Olympiad 1st Rank Holders of classes 6th to 12th from 2nd level will be eligible for Level 3. Level 3 will be conducted at New Delhi, India.
